Sprouting tray not included
Instructions for use
- Fill the sprouting tray with tap water up to the bottom of the grid.
- Sprinkle a thin layer of seeds evenly and with a little space between them on the grid.
- Place the sprouting tray at room temperature, in a bright spot, but not in direct sunlight.
- Check the water level daily and replenish it to the grid if necessary. As long as the seeds do not yet have rootlets, they should remain moist, but not soaked.
After three days, the seeds will be attached to the grid with their rootlets, and you can change the cloudy water.
Continue to check the water level daily. The rootlets should be in the water, but keep the sprouts dry. This reduces the chance of mold problems.
The rootlets above the grid may look somewhat fluffy. It resembles mold fluff, but usually, these are root hairs. Root hairs grow in a nice circle from the rootlets and disappear if you wet them with a plant sprayer.
After 8 to 12 days, the sprouts will be 4 to 6 cm long and can be harvested. Cut them off with scissors just above the grid.
