Instructions for use

  • Fill the sprouting dish with tap water up to the bottom of the grid.
  • Sprinkle a thin layer of seeds evenly and with a little space between them onto the grid.
  • Place the sprouting dish at room temperature, in a bright spot, but not in direct sunlight.
  • Check the water level daily and replenish it to the grid if necessary. As long as the seeds do not yet have germinating roots, they must remain moist, but not soaked.

After two days, the seeds will be attached to the grid with their germinating roots, and you can change the cloudy water.

Continue to check the water level daily. The germinating roots must be in the water, but keep the seedlings dry. This reduces the chance of problems with fungi.

The germinating roots above the grid may look a bit fluffy. It resembles mold, but usually these are root hairs. Root hairs grow in a nice circle from the germinating roots and disappear if you make them wet with a plant sprayer.

After 5 to 12 days, the seedlings are 3 to 5 cm long and can be harvested. Cut them just above the grid with scissors.
