CoolStance® Copra is a natural horse feed packed with ‘cool’ energy from coconut oil and fibre from coconut meal. CoolStance Copra is suitable for most horses and can be fed to help maintain a natural state of gut health and insulin sensitivity, i.e. normal insulin metabolism.

CoolStance® Copra is a unique, natural horse feed made from the white part of the coconut, which is dried, baked and ground. It is a completely natural product and is free of chemicals and genetically modified organisms (GMO). It contains few non-structural carbohydrates (NSC) and yet a high digestible energy content.

Nutritional advice

Introduce the CoolStance® gradually over a period of 10-14 days.
Feed CoolStance® in combination with quality roughage and a suitable vitamin/mineral supplement.
Clean drinking water should be available at all times.

Do you feed CoolStance® wet or dry?

CoolStance® can be fed either dry or wet food. Some horses may prefer the texture of CoolStance® when it is wet.

When CoolStance is soaked in water, it swells to at least 3 times its volume.  If we feed it dry, will CoolStance swell and hurt my horse?

One of the most important properties of CoolStance is that it swells in water, which helps rehydrate horses. When CoolStance is fed dry, horses eat the feed more slowly and by moving the water trough away from the feed trough, they have to walk away from the feed troughs to drink water. This helps regulate consumption. Moistening feeds can also prevent dust irritation.
