Pole Bean 'Cobra'

'Cobra' pole bean is a fine (7-9 mm thick), long (20 cm), black-seeded green bean. This bean has a high yield and is suitable for greenhouse and outdoor cultivation, and is characterized by slow seed development.

Sowing:

• 8 to 10 plants per m2.
• Sowing twice (mid-May and end of June) provides a good harvest spread.

Harvesting:

• Long harvest period and high yield.
• Harvest starts a bit later than with bush beans.

For greenhouse cultivation, you can also let the beans climb up a string; you attach the string, for example, to a horizontally stretched steel wire. This saves building a structure of poles. Pole bean cultivation in the greenhouse generally gives an extra yield.
