Ingredients

FOS (fructo oligosaccharides/fibres from chicory root)
FOS is short for fructo-oligosaccharides and in this case they come from dried chicory roots. They serve as prebiotics : they help to create a healthy intestinal environment, making beneficial bacteria feel at home.

Shiitake (Lentinula edodes fruiting body extract (≥40% polysaccharides))
Shiitake is a medicinal mushroom, originating from Japan and China and is a real resistance booster. Shiitake contains numerous phytonutrients and is actually healthy for the entire body due to its immune-supporting effect. But the substance lentinan (a beta-glucan) and the numerous fibers stand out when it comes to supporting intestinal health.

Acacia fibers
Acacia is a fantastic prebiotic that supports the growth of lactobacilli and bifidobacteria.

MOS (mannan oligosaccharides/yeast)
MOS, or mannan oligosaccharides, come from yeast wall cells. They help protect the intestines from toxins and promote the production of more good intestinal bacteria so that the bad intestinal bacteria do not gain the upper hand.

L-threonine
This amino acid is used by the body to continuously rebuild the mucus layer in the intestines and is therefore important for healthy intestines.

Saccharomyces cerevisiae
This is a yeast and is known as postbiotic . A postbiotic is a fermentation product that has all kinds of caring effects on the intestines.

Enterococcus faecium NCIMB 10415 (4b1705) 540 x 10^9 CFU/kg
This is a probiotic strain and well studied in animals. These beneficial intestinal bacteria are freeze-dried to ensure good shelf life and efficacy.

Lactobacillus acidophilus CECT 4529 (4b1715) 630 x 10^9 CFU/kg
This is one of the more well-known strains of bacteria that aid digestion. This strain is like paraprobiotic (dead bacterial strain) added. These are dead bacteria but with still intact cells, making them much more stable than living ones, even at changing temperatures. This guarantees an exact number of strains per gram at the time of use and makes it resistant to both stomach acid and the enzymes that digestion fires at it. Recent research shows that paraprobiotics have a similar effect to living bacteria, sometimes with slightly different positive properties.

Clinoptilolite clay
This is a type of clay that binds mycotoxins and heavy metals in the digestive tract and then takes them outside.

Application

Cats and dogs up to 10 kg: 1x daily ¼-⅓ measuring spoon through the food
Dogs 10 to 25 kg: 1 scoop per day mixed with food
Dogs 25 to 40 kg: 1¼ scoop mixed with food once a day
From 40 kg: 2 scoops once a day through the food

(1 scoop = 3.5 grams)

For dogs and cats from 3 months to 1 year, you can use half the dosage.

  • Use in the form of an 8-week course of treatment.
  • Build up the above dosage over a week, this is not very precise.
  • Take with plenty of water on an empty stomach.

It is best to give it on an empty stomach because this way the product passes through the stomach as quickly as possible and arrives in the intestines. The longer it stays in the stomach, the greater the chance that fewer good intestinal bacteria in the product will arrive alive in the intestines. It is necessary to give it through the food (and not through water) because this is the most animal-friendly method.
On an empty stomach, this often means that you give it during the morning meal.
The advice to give it with sufficient water is because the product contains Acacia, among other things. This is a fiber that is optimally effective when taken with sufficient water. Mix the food in which you give Ultimaflor with a good dash of water and build up the dosage slowly over a week to prevent gas formation as much as possible.

Extra attention

When using medication or other supplements, leave at least 4 hours between doses to prevent delayed absorption.

Do not use during pregnancy. During lactation consult.
