Dill is an annual, delightfully fragrant herb. When you sow dill throughout the garden, the scent of this herb can reduce aphid infestation.
The seeds are used, among other things, in making sauerkraut and pickling gherkins. The fresh plant parts and unripe flower heads can be used in fish dishes, among others.
