Feeding advice

To be used as a complete supplement to hay, haylage, and pasture grazing, or as a replacement for grain-based concentrates. 

• Recreational: 150 g per 100 kg body weight per day, supplemented with an additional 20% Pre-Active or Natural base
• Sport: 200-300 g per 100 kg body weight per day, supplemented with an additional 20% Pre-Active or Natural base 
• Young horses: 300 g per 100 kg body weight per day, supplemented with an additional 20% Pre-Active or Natural base
• Resting horses: 100-200 g per 100 kg body weight per day, supplemented with an equal amount of Pre-Active or Natural base

The amount of feed should be adjusted to the season, age, and daily energy requirements of your horse or pony.

Usage

Pour 1 part water over 1 part feed and let it soak for 15 minutes before feeding. This prevents the risk of esophageal choke in horses that do not chew their food sufficiently, in horses with poor dentition, and in horses that eat their food too quickly, resulting in insufficient salivation. If the feed is moistened, the stems and leaf parts reabsorb water, and the palatability of the feed also increases.

Always provide sufficient clean drinking water at the feeding area.
