Feeding advice
Can be given as a complete supplement to hay, haylage, or pasture grazing, or as a substitute for grain-based concentrates.
Only offer in soaked form!
- 100 to 200g Zupa (= 600g to 1,200g prepared Zupa) per 100 kg body weight
- The amount of feed should be adjusted to your horse or pony's age and daily energy requirement.
Zupa contains no added vitamins or minerals. Therefore, it may be advisable to add a balancer to the feed.
Preparation
Pour 4 to 5 parts water over 1 part feed and let it soak long enough:
- Cold water: minimum 1 hour
- Warm water: minimum 30 minutes
We advise preparing Zupa in the morning for the evening, and in the evening for the next morning. In winter and spring, you can leave Zupa soaked for up to 24 hours before feeding it, without any adverse effect on the product. During warmer periods of the year, it is better to feed the prepared Zupa within 12 hours. Keep the prepared Zupa in a cool place to prevent fermentation or spoilage.
Store in a DRY place and OUT OF REACH of horses!
