Sprouting dish

Grow the most delicious organic sprouts yourself with this handy sprouting tray: fast, clean, and simple. The sprouts are very healthy and tasty for sandwiches, salads, or as a garnish. The glass tray and the removable grid are easy to use and suitable for cleaning in the dishwasher.

The sprouting tray is suitable for growing Alfalfa, Basil Cress, Broccoli Cress, Chinese Chives, Green Pea, Mustard Cress, Rapini, Radish Cress 'Daikon', Radish Cress 'Sango Purple', Red Cabbage, Rocket Cress and Garden Cress.

Instructions for use

• Fill the sprouting tray with tap water. The water should just touch the grid. Spread the seeds thinly on the grid and gently moisten them with a plant mister if necessary. Place the sprouting tray in a bright spot, but not in direct sunlight.
• Check the water level daily and top it up to the grid as needed. It is important that the seeds do not dry out as long as they do not yet have germinating roots. Change the water if it becomes cloudy. It is easiest to do this when the seeds have small roots and are already fixed on the grid.
• Rotate the sprouting tray regularly, so the plants grow nicely upright. After 5 days to 3 weeks, the sprouts can be harvested. The cultivation period depends on the type of sprouts, but also on your own taste. Experiment to see at what stage the sprouts taste best.

Wash the sprouts under running water before use. Some are eaten raw, but the safest choice is to heat sprouts beforehand. This can be done by immersing them in boiling water for 5 seconds or stir-frying them well with a meal (source: Voedingscentrum). After harvesting, clean the sprouting tray thoroughly with dish soap or in the dishwasher. Make sure the sprouting tray is completely clean at the start of each cultivation.
