Instructions for use

  • Fill the sprouting tray with tap water up to the bottom of the grid.
  • Sprinkle a thin layer of seeds evenly and with a little space between them on the grid.
  • Place the sprouting tray at room temperature, in a bright spot, but not in direct sunlight.
  • Daily check the water level and replenish it if necessary up to the grid. As long as the seeds do not yet have rootlets, they must remain moist, but not soaked.

After two days, the seeds will be attached to the grid with their rootlets, and you can change the cloudy water.

Continue to check the water level daily. The rootlets should be in the water, but keep the seedlings dry. This reduces the chance of fungal problems.

The rootlets above the grid may look a bit fuzzy. It resembles mold, but usually, these are root hairs. Root hairs grow in a nice circle from the rootlets and disappear if you spray them with a plant mister.

After 6 to 8 days, the seedlings will be 4 to 6 cm long and can be harvested. Cut them with scissors just above the grid.
