If it is difficult to administer this product multiple times a day in practice, once a day or once every two days is sufficient. In that case, give the maximum daily dosage. Even then, this product can be effectively used, but the reaction may take a little longer to appear.
Upon improvement, a maintenance dosage can be used. This is usually half of the dosage indicated on the package. When dosing this product, carefully observe the animal's reaction. A higher dosage may be necessary initially; this product can be safely given in a double dosage. Gradually reduce the dosage upon improvement to the lowest possible dosage.
Some animals may experience a short-term worsening at the start of treatment or otherwise react strongly. In case of severe increase, halve the dosage or temporarily stop and then gradually build it up again.
Administration
Can be given over food. Moisten (with dry food) the food/powder so that it is not blown out of the feed trough.
Duration of treatment
In an acute situation, the duration of treatment is relatively short. This can vary from a few days to 3 weeks. If there is improvement, continue administering this product for a few more days. For long-term discomfort, the effect is usually visible after 1 to 3 weeks.
This product can be given continuously. It is advisable to include a stop week after every 6 to 8 weeks. This way, the 'stimulus' can be offered again after the stop week. Resume treatment immediately if there is a reason to do so.
