Application for Horses & Ponies
Typical guideline (unless otherwise advised by a therapist / veterinarian):
-
In the initial phase: 2× per day
- Horse: 1 full measuring spoon
- Pony: ½ to ¾ measuring spoon
- After 4 weeks or upon improvement: 2× per day
- Horse: ½ measuring spoon
- Pony: ¼ to ½ measuring spoon
- In acute cases, a double dose can temporarily be considered, provided it is under supervision
- As a maintenance dosage: ± half of the stated dosage
Administration
- Mix the powder with the feed (dry or lightly moistened) so that it does not blow out of the feeding trough.
- In situations where multiple administrations per day are difficult, one can opt for once a day or to give the maximum daily dose at once (the reaction may then be somewhat slower).
Duration of use
- For acute complaints: from a few days to 3 weeks
- For chronic problems: usually 1 to 3 weeks before an effect is visible
- Can be used long-term, provided a "stop week" is periodically included (after 6–8 weeks)
- If the animal gets sicker or worsens: consult a veterinarian immediately
Contraindications / points of attention
- Use during pregnancy or lactation only in consultation with a veterinarian
- To date, no serious side effects are known
- This product is not a substitute for regular deworming or treatment for worm infections — treat according to the veterinarian's guidelines
- Store in a dry place, preferably between 5-20 °C, out of direct sunlight, out of reach of children
