Sweet corn 'Golden Rush' is a mid-early, open-pollinated variety comparable to standard sweet corn from professional cultivation. Even after harvesting, the kernels retain their exceptionally sweet taste for a long time without becoming mealy.
In warm weather, the seedlings quickly grow into strong plants. For good (wind) pollination, it's best to plant them in groups. If well-fertilized, they develop beautifully cylindrical cobs, densely filled to the tip with golden-yellow, tasty kernels. These are well protected by the many strong husks that close tightly around the entire cob right to the tip, preventing bird damage.
Please note: to preserve the characteristic quality and sweet taste of 'Golden Rush', it is important to prevent cross-pollination with other corn varieties.
