Vitalbix Breed & Grow is a unique, fiber-rich muesli formulated according to the latest insights in nutrition for pregnant mares, foals, young horses (up to 3 years old), and breeding stallions. Breed & Grow is rich in fiber, low in starch & sugar, and contains a balanced level of easily absorbable vitamins, minerals, and trace elements. Breed & Grow provides healthy energy from fiber and fats, supports healthy gastrointestinal function, and keeps pregnant and lactating mares in good condition. Vitalbix Breed & Grow supports the healthy growth of the foal and the development of strong bones, tendons, and joints.

Vitalbix Breed & Grow is a concentrated and complete feed with a high dose of vitamins and minerals. This allows you to feed approximately 30% less than regular feeds.

Not only the exact levels of vitamins, minerals, and trace elements are important for a healthy diet, but the mutual proportions between these nutrients are just as crucial. If there are imbalanced ratios, nutrients will compete with each other, leading to deficiencies and thus health problems. Feeding advice

From the 8th month of gestation, the need for vitamins, minerals, and proteins increases, making it the ideal time to start Vitalbix Breed & Grow!

Pregnant Mares:

Months 1 – 7: Choose Vitalbix Daily Complete, Vitalbix Balance+ Muesli or Vitalbix Active+

Months 8 + 9: 200 – 300 grams per 100 kg body weight of horse per day

Months 10 + 11: 300 – 400 grams per 100 kg body weight of horse per day

Lactating Mares (with pasture grazing):

Months 1 – 3: 400 – 500 grams per 100 kg body weight of horse per day

Months 4 – 5: 300 – 400 grams per 100 kg body weight of horse per day

Month 6: 200 – 300 grams per 100 kg body weight of horse per day

Support pregnant and lactating mares with muscle and weight loss with approx. 0.5 – 1.0 kg Vitalbix Pure Lucerne+ or Vitalbix NutriMash. Divide Breed & Grow into at least 2 portions per day if feeding more than 1 kg per day. This feeding advice assumes sufficient roughage of good quality. The correct amount of roughage is the basis for a healthy weight.

Foals before weaning:

4 – 6 weeks before weaning: 50 – 70 grams per 100 kg body weight of foal per day

At weaning: 150 grams per 100 kg body weight of foal per day

Foals after weaning:

Months 6 – 12: 150 grams per 100 kg body weight of foal per day

Young Horses:

Months 13 – 23: 150 – 200 grams per 100 kg body weight of horse per day

Months 24 – 36: 140 – 180 grams per 100 kg body weight of horse per day

Breeding Stallions: 200 – 300 grams per 100 kg body weight of horse per day

Tip! Start feeding Vitalbix Breed & Grow approximately 4-6 weeks before weaning to gradually accustom your foal to the feed.
