Vitalbix Pure Lucerne+ is a pure high quality lucerne with 3% linseed oil , without molasses or other additives. It contains both the coarser lucerne stems and the finer nutritious lucerne leaves.
Vitalbix Pure Lucerne+ contains a relatively high protein content with high-quality amino acids that are well absorbed by the body. These amino acids are essential for many processes in the body and are important for building and maintaining muscle mass , good resistance , healthy skin and strong hooves .

Lucerne is a roughage and is often used in horses as a source of fibre to mix with concentrated feed (chunks or muesli). This ensures that horses have to chew more and take longer to eat their concentrated feed meal, which benefits digestion

Nutritional advice
Use Vitalbix Pure Lucerne+ for extra fibre as a supplement to Vitalbix Daily Complete. The fibre-rich structure stimulates chewing and saliva production. Vitalbix Pure Lucerne+ contains a relatively high protein content with high-quality amino acids that are well absorbed by the body. Vitalbix Pure Lucerne+ can be fed separately or mixed with roughage (hay/haylage).
A standard 1 litre feed scoop contains approx. 200 grams of Vitalbix Pure Lucerne+
For extra fiber: 25 – 100 grams per 100 kg body weight of horse per day
For extra proteins: 100 – 400 grams per 100 kg body weight of horse per day
